Taken 2

Taken 2
Customer Reviews. Taken 2 My 13-year-old great-nephew also loved the movie--so mark two for "Taken 2" for its multi-generational approvals. There's a slow beginning--too slow for my nephew until the action begins, then pow! the rest of the movie. Nonstop action! After the movie, my nephew said the slow beginning was necessary to set up the story that follows. Although he is a sophisticated movie buff, almost anyone would get it that the slow beginning is necessary.

This time out, Neeson's daughter is car driving age--there's a big deal about not passing her driving test--a fact that becomes null and void by movie's end. In "Taken" Neeson kills the son of an Albanian mobster. Some kind of blood feud goes on in Albania much like the American Hatfield-McCoy feud. Neeson spilled Albanian blood, now the Albanian mob must spill Neeson and family blood.

The goons kidnap Neeson and his wife, the daughter escapes. One of the most unusual chase scenes in movie history takes place on the colorful rooftops of ancient buildings in Istanbul, Turkey. It is wild! In the first "Taken" the daughter is kidnapped and sold as a sex slave. In this movie she becomes the hero. Movie history is changing. She also is part of a thrilling car chase, providing her with a set of certain skills in driving.

The movie is worth watching just to hear Neeson say he has a set of certain skills he will use after he escapes his own imprisonment. "I will find you" is his omninous, now iconic statement much like Eastwood and Schwarzennegger use.

Liam Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, the ex-CIA operative who stopped at nothing to rescue his daughter from sadistic kidnappers.
